Hello! Tommy D again. ..I was wondering if it might be possible to get a torch for me to have? I'm not certain how it works here. I have tokens and I have pounds, but I haven't seen any mentions of either thus far.

I'm also.. Well, I'm a bit worried about not being sorted. I don't mind waiting. It's just, I hadn't realized this was the sort of thing where you wait for your letter to arrive and it might arrive much earlier or much later. Is that how it is?

[Tommy looks awkwardly off screen after a pause, then back, but his voice is much quieter.]

I believe I may have flooded the wash room. Could someone help me please?

It might, if I can't find a torch. It's a sort of artificial light that uses batteries. Oh, um. It's a modern device. If I get one, I'll show it to you.

Artificial light? Oh, like the lanterns in the ceilings! But then do you not have light in your cabin?

I do, but it's odd to turn on in the middle of the night. I'd hoped for something a bit easier.

Firewood would be nice as well, but I haven't seen any trees here.

Does the Admiral not provide firewood for you? The candles are not lit when I return to my cabin in the evening, but the fires are well-kept.

He...are you quite certain, sir? For the wood replenishes and the fires are kept, and I have not asked a soul to help me with it all.

I've got no wood here and I've always had to tend the fires myself. It might be because you're from a different time, or your gender or something, but I think it's probably unusual.

..Well it's not really your space, is it? I mean, it's the Admiral's Barge. If someone's been sent to give you firewood, then they'd be filling the Admiral's room, not your private space, right?

We never really had our own space at Hailsham or The Cottages. I guess no one really walked into your room very often at The Cottages, but if they did, it was never really something you got angry over. Especially if they were helping you.

I'm from a different sort of life than most, though. I realize that. Maybe it's not the same for you.

I suppose I would not worry so...except that my door was locked, which is why I assumed that the firewood was the Admiral's doing. If someone has been tending to the fires without my knowledge, they would have needed to open the lock in order to enter.
